Conclusion

Messages not unsaving in Microsoft Teams is a bug that’s only a few days old at this point. The message appears to be removed from saved messages but when you open saved messages again, or you shut down your system and log into it the next day, the removed message is still there. Quitting and/or logging out and then unsaving a message appears to fix it but this isn’t a permanent fix. You will continue to have problems unsaving messages. These solutions are only a workaround. Since the bug is new, a fix for it may take time. It has yet to be acknowledged by Microsoft though the company may be aware of it and may fix it silently in a few days.
