Ringtone Maker: Create Ringtones For iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Symbian & Others
Catchy ringtones are a great way of showing off your phone, besides, who likes a boring, old-fashioned ringtone anyway? The beauty of internet is that you can download free ringtones from the lot, whether you want Adele’s Rolling in the Deep or the classic Super Mario tone. But If you were looking for a software that lets you easily create some of your own cool ringtones, then look no further than Fried Cookie’s Ringtone Maker. The application offers an elegant interface, simple design and intuitive ringtone creation process, and lets you cook your own favorite ringtones for your smartphone, within a few clicks. It does the job in five simple steps, and can be set to convert the output to formats compatible with iOS (iPhone, iPad & iPod touch), Android, Blackberry, Symbian and other smartphone platforms. So how does it work? Let’s find out.
The application has a minimalistic, yet an aesthetically pleasing UI design. To begin, launch the application to start a Ringtone Maker wizard. Just drag your desired music file over the application window and click Next.
In the second step, specify the part of audio file that you want to crop using the start and ending sliders. The tool lets you extract up to 30 seconds of music from the file (yeah this is the limit guys). You can also click Play button while selecting the part of audio track to listen to the ringtone. When you’re ready, click Next.
It will ask you to select the type of your mobile phone. For instance, iPhone uses M4R format for its ringtone files – so this tool will automatically create the output file in a format that is supported by the selected device. Select your Phone Type and click Next.
The last step lets you select output directory for your ringtone file. You can choose My Desktop or Same As Source options. Alternatively, it allows you to set any custom location as a destination folder. When all settings are in place, click Create Your Ringtone to start the process.
The process only takes a few seconds to extract your ringtone, and upon completion, you can click Show In Folder to open the output folder or Create A New Ringtone to clip a ringtone from another music file.
You can grab Ringtone Maker for free, and it works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Both 32-bit and 64-bit OS editions are supported.
