How to watch Apple TV+ on Windows 10

Apple TV+ is Apple’s step into online content streaming i.e. internet TV. The service can be used on any Apple device e.g. a Mac, an iPhone, an iPad, or the AppleTV itself. Unlike most of Apple’s services, AppleTV+ isn’t restricted by platform; you can watch AppleTV+ on Windows 10, and most other devices that have a modern browser installed.

Watch AppleTV+ on Windows 10

In order to watch AppleTV+ on Windows 10, you will need to purchase a subscription to the service. You may be eligible for one free year of the service. You can check eligibility on the AppleTV+ website. If you’re not eligible, you can get a seven-day free trial but you will need a credit card to sign up.

AppleTV+ is available in select countries.

Apple ID

You must have an Apple ID to use the service. The Apple ID must be set up for use in a country where AppleTV+ is available. You can easily change the country/region of your Apple ID. It is possible you won’t need a VPN service to stream as long as your Apple ID is set to the correct country but it doesn’t hurt to have one on hand.

Sign in to AppleTV+

Once you’ve set your Apple ID to the correct country, follow these steps.

  1. Open any modern browser on your Windows 10 system.
  2. Visit the AppleTV+ website.
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID.
  4. Accept the EULA.
  5. Click the Free-trial button, enter your credit card information, and start watching.

Credit card limitations

The credit card you use to sign into/subscribe to AppleTV+ must be authorized for use in the country that your Apple ID is set to. If the credit card won’t work because it’s registered to a bank in an unsupported country, you can try using PayPal to sign up for the service, or an Apple Gift Card. It is possible that these last two options may not work in which case, you’re out of luck.

Conclusion

If you own an Apple device, you might have an easier time subscribing to the service. Try purchasing a subscription first, and then watch it on a Windows 10 system. If you experience trouble streaming, enable a VPN. Make sure it provides a reasonably strong connection for the media content to stream. If you’re not sure which VPN to use, try some of the ones we recommend for watching Netflix US content. Sign in to AppleTV+ first, and then enable the VPN. It should do the trick.
