Why Do You Need to Blur Zoom Background?
Zoom is a video communication app that lets you participate in virtual meetings from anywhere. When you connect with others with it, you and your background become visible to others.
Since most people use Zoom from home or any other setting outside the office, you might not want your coworkers to see the mess or chaos behind you. For this reason, having the background blur is a useful way of hiding what is happening behind you.
How to Blur the Background in Zoom From Computer

- Click on Blur to make your Zoom background obscure.
Note: If you’re unable to find the Virtual Background tab despite enabling it on the web, sign out and sign in again to the Zoom desktop app.
If you’re already in a meeting and forgot to blur your background, here is how to do it:
- Confirm that you’re part of a Zoom meeting or webinar.
