Our Rating Process
By focusing on the features, ease of use, device compatibility, and customer support, we were able to come to a conclusion on the quality and usefulness of TELUS Online Security. Below, you’ll find a score out of five for each of the mentioned criteria to help you get an idea of where the product excels and where it could improve.
Features – 5/5
Customers of TELUS Online Security receive protection from Norton 360 and all the benefits that come with it which include protection against malware, phishing scams, trackers, and countless more. In addition, TELUS Online Security powered by Norton also offers a secure VPN, identity theft protection, a password manager, dark web monitoring, identity theft reimbursement coverage3, social media monitoring1 and credit reports2. Altogether, the features that come with a TELUS Online Security plan have thoroughly impressed us and stand toe-to-toe with any competitor.
Ease of Use – 4/5
Once you’ve signed up for TELUS Online Security, you’ll be able to open your user dashboard and see where all your features are displayed. For us, the dashboard seemed a bit clunky, and we didn’t love navigating it to download, activate, and find support for all the features we wanted to use, which is why we’ve elected to give a score of four.
Device Compatibility – 5/5
Most users and businesses today use iOS, Android, Mac, or PC. All four are compatible with TELUS Online Security, so clients don’t have to worry about being able to download software on two devices with different operating systems.
Customer Support – 4/5
TELUS Online Security offers current customers a virtual assistant and technical support articles to help answer questions. If questions remain unanswered, customers may get in touch with an agent, however, the process is not as easy as we’d like it to be, and we think the company would do well to add another mode of contact such as an email.
