Wrapp: Send Digital Birthday Cards To Your Facebook Friends [Android]
Love celebrating your friends’ birthdays and sending them gift cards? Then why not do it through your Android device? Yes, Wrapp is a one-of-its kind app for Android that lets your send (paid and free) digital gift cards to your Facebook friends on the eve of their birthday. The app supports firm integration with the social network giant, Facebook, and lets you select a friend to whom you want to send a real gift card (via post) right at their doorsteps.
While recently reviewed Birthday Scheduler for Fb automatically sent birthday wishes to your Facebook friends on the specified time, Wrapp provides you a chance to send these wishes as elegant gift cards to show a bit more attachment and care towards them.
However, unlike Birthday Scheduler, Wrapp does not support sending gift cards automatically. However, it does alert you of all your Wrapp events (upcoming birthdays and news feeds) through push notifications. To enable app’s push notifications, simply tap on Menu > Settings and check select the Push notifications option.
The app, upon launch, retrieves the list of all the upcoming birthdays of your Facebook friends and displays them on the home screen (under the Celebrate tab). To send gift cards to your friends, all you need to do is tap on their image, pick from the long list of attractive cards, add your personal greeting message with the card and tap Give. You can send as many cards to your friends as you like. Your friends, upon receiving the gift card(s) are notified on Facebook. You may also opt to notify your friends by sending them text messages through Wrapp.
In case you wish to purchase a gift card, you must specify your preferred payment method and provide all the required details to complete the transaction.
Note: Wrapp currently supports payments from MasterCard and Visa only.
Apart from the Celebrate tab, you may also notice a couple of other tabs on the app’s home screen for your Wrapp News Feeds as well as your Wallet (in-app purchases).
Since the app is under development, it only supports retailers based in Sweden (as of this writing). Users from other locations across the globe, for the time being, have to be content with sharing free digital gifts cards offered by Wrapp.
