Sticky Notes Live Wallpaper For Android – Notes On Your Home Screen

Bored of looking at the same old static, useless home screen but don’t want to waste precious system resources and battery life just to make your display look livelier? With Sticky Notes Live Wallpaper for Android you can set as many as five different notes as part of an animated live wallpaper (LWP) and make your screen less boring and more practical as well as informative at the same time. Currently there are just a couple of themes (Android and Summer) that can be selected but the developer promises to include additional themes in future updates.

As simple as it may sound, the concept of Sticky Notes Live Wallpaper is quite intriguing and could come in quite handy in a variety of situations. For quite some time now, Android users have been craving for a simple, subtle, instantly-accessible and cloud-free note taking app, but thus far, all such solutions have been available in the form of standalone apps, home screen widget or as an integrated feature. Of all aforementioned solutions, only the home screen widget is something that can be deemed as readily available on the home screen. However, Sticky Notes Live Wallpaper is a wonderful addition to the category of note taking apps that don’t require extensive configuration or logging in to a specific service, just to take a simple note. Another useful aspect of having a Sticky Notes like LWP on your Android home screen is that it keeps you apprised of your most important reminders and tasks. It does so by displaying various floating sticky notes on your home screen.

The purpose of  using Sticky Notes as your live wallpaper is as simple as it gets. By pinning up your most important sticky notes to your live wallpaper, you can avoid missing out on an important event ever again. It is light, very subtle and provides both practicality and decor for your home screen. All in all; Sticky Notes LWP can be cited as a simple yet purposeful concept that can certainly be expanded manifold. If nothing else, we would love to see some more flavors that can be picked for the LWP’s theme.

Still in beta, Sticky Notes only supports screen resolutions of 480×800, 320×480 and 240×320 as of yet. Also, the live wallpaper seemed to be at odds with a few home screen widgets during our test-run (Animating Flip Clock Widget, for example).
