Install CyanogenMod 7 RC3 On HTC Desire HD / Inspire 4G

CyanogenMod 7, based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread is rapidly advancing to maturity for Android devices. We have confirmation that Cyanogen has just released the Release Candidate 3 version for the HTC Desire HD and AT&T HTC Inspire 4G, along with a handful of other Android based devices. For those, already on the CM7 RC2 ROM, you have a reason to update now and for those not using the CM7 have a reason to try it out now. For instructions on how to upgrade or install this ROM, read on!

Requirements:

• ClockworkMod recovery 3+ installed. See our comprehensive guide on how to install a custom recovery to an android phone

• (https://goo.im/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip) Google Apps

Instructions:

1. Download the ROM and flash it via ClockWorkMod Recovery. For those new to flashing custom ROMs, see our guide on how to install a ROM or app from zip file to android via recovery.
2. For those upgrading from RC2 to RC3, simply make a NANDroid backup, and then flash the ROM.
