hello I currently have a samsung vibrant running on FROYO 2.2 firmware. my question is after this update would I be able to update to the original firmwares that will come?
I successfully flashed this ROM on my Vibrant in recovery mode.
But it’s originally Froyo with Gingerbread clone.
No use of flashing this ROM on your Froyo vibrant
Froyo looks good & is Fast.
Wait for the official Gingerbread update for the vibrant.
I’ve flashed back to my stock Vibrant froyo.

is there a video somewhere this is the most reliable cite but i cant find a video anywhere
how can i get this to work on MAC OS
so I am trying to use Rom manager but every time I flash clockworkmod recovery and then reboot into recovery it isn’t installing correctly. I keep getting errors saying
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted
ive tried multiple times and I keep getting the same thing. now i am trying to use fastboot but I cant find a recovery image for the vibrant. is there anything else I can do? BTW my phone has been rooted with Superoneclick. I have done all the prep work needed to flash the 2.3 Gingerbread this is the only step I’m having trouble with.
you must flash a different kernel, if your running froyo, you have recovery 3e. clockworkmod will not flash correctly with 3e. use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870480 using a kernel from this forum installed voodoo + clockwork in 5 seconds.
Sorry but I am confused, is this for the samsung facinate or the vibrant?
Sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking when I started off with Vibrant and went all Fascinate throughout the remaining guide. It is for Vibrant. Thanks for asking or I might have not noticed.
Nope it doesn’t lock the phone, and yes it works on the T-Mobile SGH 959

oh yeah how could i forget…also a dj05 modem. geez….lol
For all the answers to your questions, visit the forum thread and ask the developers of the ROM. We are just featuring it here based on the information that we have on it and whether it will be compatible with your radio, kernel and modem etc. can be more reliably answered by the developer.
ok, before i go flashing anything, i need to know if this rom will be stable with me using a rooted fascinate, dj05 radio, voodoo v5 lagfix kernel. if so, ill install this muthaf***er right now lol…if not….i already bricked this thing once with an incorrect voodoo kernel installation…what a nightmare that was…4 hours and odin….flashing a stock tar file…….holy crap. so yay or nay my bruda. also, is this just a theme, or is this a gingerbread rom?
thx for the fast reply!!
When I tired to do this, the phone said bad zip file? I tired multiple times
Well, I don’t know what could cause that. This ROM and method has worked for the rest.
Please visit this forum thread to contact the developer, perhaps they can help:

I got it right… thanks…
I followed step by step but when I get to the part to choose to install rom from SD it says that the rom is not on the SD… and I copied 3 times to 3 diferent SD’s and nothing… Can some help me?
You might need to copy it to the internal SD card rather than the removable one.
Thanks so much, works awesome! Love the update!
Pleasure 🙂
work on vibrant, but no phone call 🙁 + wifi
I don’t know what might cause that because calling is functional in this ROM and so is WiFi. Are you referring to WiFi calling? Or do you mean calling and WiFi don’t work at the same time?
Can you still run an overclock on this rom?
Not sure of that.
The link to download the rom is dead.
Download link updated; should be working now.
I don’t think i did it correctly because my vibrant did not flash anything !
I need tutorials for Vibrant !
Well the method is pretty straight forward. You can also check out a comprehensive tutorial on flashing that we just wrote: https://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-install-a-rom-or-app-from-zip-file-to-android-device-from-recovery/

no signal, also load screen says vibrant
Well no one else seems to have the no signal problem. Try flashing again, making sure to wipe all data, cache and dalvik cache before and if you still can’t get it going, restore your nandroid backup to get back to your previous ROM. You might also wanna head over to the developer’s thread (link given in the article) and contact him for help.
does this rom have mobile ap? and how about supporting a front facing camera?
