Install Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread On Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830

What’s even better is that the root method for the Ace on Gingerbread works for this firmware as well. Read on for more on how you can install this firmware on your Galaxy Ace.

The installation procedure is like for any other Samsung device, via ODIN. However, this method is the safest and actually much easier then it seems. So let’s move onto the installation.

  1. To begin, download the firmware from the link above and extract it.
  2. Put your phone into download mode.
  3. Run ODIN as found in the extracted folder and click on select OPS choosing Cooper_v1.0.ops.
  4. Click on Boot and select the file starting with the name APBOOT.
  5. Click on Phone and select the file starting with the name Modem.
  6. Click on PDA and select the file CODE_S5830XXKPH_CL260130_REV03_user_low_true.tar.md5.
  7. Click on CSC and select the file starting with the name CSC.
  8. That done, connect your phone to via the USB cable and once ODIN shows the device is connected, hit the Start button.

Wait for the firmware to be flashed. Once done, the phone will reboot and you should boot into Android 2.3.4.

It just simple to upgrade your galaxy ace just install kies which u get with your phone after installing connect your phone to computer via usb than just go to kies which u have installed in your computer first update your kies after update it will show that an new legal upradation for your phone 2.3.4 just follow step and new upgradation will complete do not disconnect your phone while upgradation is in process after upgradation u get an message upgradation is completed than enjoy your new 2.3.4…

  8. Is it possible for me to do this if I have a South American version of the Ace? (still Android 2.2.1)
    In case I don’t like the new firmware, where may I find the original one again?
    What improvements does this show once installed?
