Gain S-Off On HTC Droid Incredible 2 With Revolutionary [How To]

Earlier when AlphaRevX was released allowing you to gain S-Off on quite a handful of HTC Android devices, HTC users could not have been more happier to see a one click S-Off solution for their devices. Recently developers of Unrevoked and AlphaRev have teamed up to release the Revolutionary tool, which is in fact quite revolutionary, bringing about S-Off for even the latest HTC devices, including tablets. The Incredible 2 has not been around for long, and if you just became an owner of one these devices, you could easily gain S-Off on it via Revolutionary.

The tool is quite similar in function to AlphaRevX and also installs ClockworkMod recovery on your device. To use this tool you need to be running the 0.97.0000 version of HBOOT. So here’s how you can gain S-Off on your Incredible 2.

Requirements:

• Make sure HTC Sync is uninstalled.

Instructions:

1. To begin, head over to the Revolutionary portal and download the tool for Windows.
2. The download will commence and a form with varying fields will open. Do NOT close the page and wait for the download to complete.
3. Meanwhile, connect the phone to the computer via USB and make sure USB Debugging is enabled. (Settings > Application > Development).
4. Once downloaded, extract the contents and and run Revolutionary.exe.
5. You will now see a serial number. Copy that and paste it into the field named Serial number in the webpage that was opened.
6. Once the fields are completely entered hit the Generate button to be given a key.
7. Copy that key and paste it at the relevant position in the terminal window.
8. Let the tool do its thing, so wait patiently as your phone gains S-Off.
