Access 2010: Convert Pictures to BMP (Access 2003 Compatibility)
Access 2010 with many other improvements also supports many image formats. Since many users dealing with databases in Access 2003 version, you can let Access 2010 convert images into Access 2003 BMP format to prevent any type of compatibility issues.
To make Access convert picture to BMP, on File menu, click Options to bring up Access Options dialog. From left-sidebar, select Current Database, and from main window enable Convert all picture data to bitmaps option, as shown in the screenshot below.
