Atom Reborn Kodi Add-on – How to Install and Features
It’s been a rough year for Kodi fans and particularly those who like to make use of all-in-one addons. The demise of addons such as Exodus and Covenant had left a dearth of real top-quality all in one addons. But the demand remains for an addon which offers live IPTV and sports coverage alongside top quality on-demand movies and TV shows. After all, for many users, this is what Kodi is all about.
The latest addon to step into this space is Atom Reborn. It has a huge variety of content across all the key areas and despite being a relative newcomer to the Kodi market, it has already become a must-have addon for many users. In this article, we will tell you everything you need to know about Atom Reborn Kodi addon, what you can expect from the addon, how it performs, and how to download and install it.
Before you download Atom Reborn – Install a VPN
It is important when using any unofficial Kodi addon, including Atom Reborn, to ensure you are always using a VPN. There are a number of reasons for this. Firstly, Kodi is open source and there is nothing to stop rogue developers planting malware and other unwelcome content in their addons. But more importantly, there can be legal ramifications from using unofficial Kodi addons too.
While Kodi itself is 100% legal, some unofficial addons can enable users to access copyrighted content. Some Kodi users have received legal notices and even faced further legal actions as a result of using addons. But with a VPN all your internet data is encrypted and your IP Address is hidden. This helps to protect you from both legal and security risks. The only real question for Kodi users to ask themselves is, which is the best VPN to use.
The Best VPN for Kodi – IPVanish
Our recommendation for the best VPN for Kodi users right now is IPVanish. IPVanish offers the fast and reliable connection speeds Kodi users need to stream content efficiently. It combines these with great security and privacy provisions too, which are one of the main reasons why IPVanish is such a popular VPN provider. There are no restrictions on either data usage or file types, which can prove really annoying for Kodi users. And with a network of more than 850 servers available in 60 countries, Kodi users can also unblock content from around the world too. IPVanish is available on almost every device, including the Amazon Firestick. Put all this together and IPVanish offers the best VPN service around for Kodi users.
IPVanish offers a 7-day money back guarantee which means you have a week to test it risk-free. Please note that Addictive Tips readers can save a massive 60% here on the IPVanish annual plan, taking the monthly price down to only $4.87/mo.
How to install Atom Reborn Kodi addon
Like all unofficial Kodi addons, the Atom Reborn addon has to be downloaded from an external source. But for this particular addon, the most effective way to download it is directly from the zip file rather than through a repository. This is mainly because it is a pretty new addon and it may well move onto a repository in time. But now, you will need to download directly from the zip file and you can do so by following this simple step-by-step guide:
- Open Kodi and select the Settings icon which looks like a gear wheel and is in the top left of the screen.
- Choose the File Manager tab then scroll down the menu until you see Add Source
- Double click this and in the pop-up box entitled Add file source which appears, enter the following URL exactly: https://matts-sharing.esy.es/atomreborn Click on OK, then give this source a name like atomreborn (which should appear automatically) and click OK again.
- Go back to the Kodi Home Screen and this time select Addons.
- Click on the Addon Browser icon which resembles an open box and is in the top left of the screen.
- Select Install from zip file and then click on atomreborn followed by plugin.video.ATOMREBORN.zip.
- This will install the Atom Reborn addon onto your Kodi. When this process has successfully completed, you will see a notification in the top right of your screen. You can now return to the Kodi Home page and the Atom Reborn addon should be listed in your addons menu and be ready to explore.
Atom Reborn Kodi addon Review
The Atom Reborn addon is the latest all-in-one addon to appear on the Kodi scene. And already it has made a big impression. Through Atom Reborn, you can access a huge range of movies, TV shows, live sports events, TV channels, and music. It is a very new addon and therefore there are a few issues. But this is only to be expected at this stage of its development and no doubt the developers are working hard to smooth these over. But there is also much to praise about Atom reborn too, as you will see.
What’s the Atom Reborn addon has to offer
The easiest way to outline what is available on the Atom Reborn addon at the moment, and what will be added in the future, is to work our way through the main menu, from which you can access everything this addon has to offer. The main menu itself is clearly laid out, with no misleading headings used and menu tabs given alternating colours to help you avoid clicking on the wrong things.
Favourites
The first menu option is called favourites and is presumably is where the most popular films and TV shows from the addon will be listed. However, at the time of testing, this link didn’t work. Not the best of starts, but it’s important not to jump to early conclusions.
New Releases
This menu tab takes users to a list of the latest movie releases. It is a long list and there are a few TV specials and sporting events thrown into the mix too. Clicking on a link will automatically play the best stream of the movie available rather than take you to a list of links. Personally, I prefer this and think it makes the Atom Reborn addon more user-friendly. But I know some Kodi users prefer to choose their own streams. Most streams are of a very good quality, but some are Cam movies while others have foreign subtitles. But all the ones we tested were quick to load and very watchable.
Atom IPTV
The Atom IPTV menu tab takes you to a submenu with various different options, all of which are easy to follow. They are:
- List One – UK, USA, and V.O.D.
- List Two – UK only
- List Three – Sports Only
- BBC Live Channels
- ITV Live Channels
- World IPTV
The available IPTV betrays the fact that this addon has been developed in the UK, but there is still more than enough global content to keep users around the world satisfied. Each submenu option opens up a long list of available channels and all of those we tested seemed to work very well. The menu warns users that the World IPTV channels will take a few seconds to load. They do, but again all those we tried did load and streamed well, with minimal buffering issues.
Movie Boxsets
This menu option has links to a number of Hollywood franchise movies including the Terminator, Rocky, Saw, Hunger Games, and Rambo Movies. There is only a small selection available here at the moment, but I would expect it to expand as this addon grows.
TV Shows
This option opens up what is a relatively small list of on-demand TV shows that can be streamed. Again, this section is likely to expand as the addon does. At the moment, you can enjoy shows such as Vikings, The Grand Tour, Stranger Things, The Gifted, and Mrs Browns Boys.
ULTRA HD Movies
As the name suggests, this section has a long list of 4k movies. The addon warns that a fast internet connection is needed to view this. If you are lucky enough to have that, then you can choose between various new releases and older movies all of which are streamed in Blu-Ray quality. A great feature that not every all-in-one addon has.
Atom Reborn Movies
Broken up into Movies and Cams, this is the go-to section for on-demand movies in this addon. It has a decent list of mostly 21st-century movies to choose from. All the ones we tested played well and were of a good quality. The cams movies are inevitably of mixed quality and the addon even warns users not to complain if they are crap. When we tested, there were only three available and quality could best be described as adequate.
Little Humans Zone
This is the Kids TV zone, which is broken down ito three submenu options. They are Disney Collection, which offers almost every Disney movie ever made. The Kids Cartoon section has a short list of mixed cartoons, which is another area where I expect content to be expanded soon. And there is also a Kids Movie section too. This option was marked as temporarily offline at the time of testing, so I can’t vouch for the range or quality of content available here.
Stand Up Comedy
This section features a decent list of live stand-up shows from some of the world’s most popular comedians. It includes Billy Connelly, Frankie Boyle, Jimmy Carr, Peter Kay, and Eddie Murphy. It is a nice addition to the content of this addon and will no doubt prove popular with many users, especially as more content is added.
BBC Three Online
This section links to BBC Three which is the BBC’s channel dedicated to young viewers. It is only available online and viewers are likely to need a VPN connected to a UK server to access this stream.
Documentaries
This is another nice feature which links to a small range of documentary streams. Submenu options at the moment include Drugs, Crime, Conspiracy, and GangLand, but this is another area where content is likely to expand in the near future.
Music and Music Videos
The music section of the Atom Reborn addon appears to have huge potential, but is lacking in content at the moment. The submenu includes Music Videos, Music Albums, Live Concerts, and Random mp3s. However, all of these options currently contain just a handful of options and much more will need to be added, before this addon is challenging the best music addons around.
TESTING AREA
Most users will avoid this area, which is primarily where the developers are testing new features and content.
Atom Reborn Kodi addon pros and cons
For a new addon, it has to be said that Atom Reborn has an awful lot going for it. It is nicely designed and really easy to use. When you choose something to stream, it runs automatically, which makes the whole streaming process much quicker and easier than other addons which require you to select your stream. The quality of the content is extremely good and where there are low-quality links, the addon usually warns you in advance.
The only real downside to the Atom Reborn Kodi addon at the moment is that there are some sections which have minimal content available. This is in part because the addon is so new, but also the developers seem keen to ensure that all links work and are of a good quality too. This will inevitably slow the adding of new links, but it does add to the overall high-quality feel of this addon. At a time, when Kodi users are crying out for a reliable all-in-one addon, Atom Reborn looks extremely well placed to be the one that fills the gap.
