Joshua vs Parker Live Streams: Kodi Addons that Live Broadcast the Fight Online
2018 is about to enjoy its first major heavyweight boxing bout as British fighter Anthony Joshua takes on New Zealand’s Joseph Parker on March 31. The fight will take place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff and the winning will walk away with three of the four World Heavyweight belts and move one step closer to being the undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World. As with all major boxing bouts, this fight is expected to attract a huge global audience. The Broadcasters know this too and in most countries around the world, the fight is likely to be on Pay-Per-View TV and only available for a big one-off fee.
But there are other options available to watch the fight as well. There will be no shortage of online streams available while many of the unofficial sports addons on Kodi will also be streaming the fight. In this article, we will explain exactly how to stream the Joshua vs Parker fight live from anywhere in the world as well as tell you everything you need to know ahead of the biggest showpiece boxing event of 2018 so far.
Joshua v Parker TV Broadcasters
The Joshua v Parker fight will be available on different broadcasters all around the world and many of these will be making the fight available on their live streaming service. However, these streaming services will almost always come at a price. There will be no bigger audience for the fight than in the UK as homegrown hero Anthony Joshua defends his WBA and IBF Heavyweight titles on home soil in Cardiff. In the UK, the fight will be broadcast live, along with extensive build-up and analysis on Sky Sports Box Office. This is a Pay-Per-View service and while the official price for this event has not yet been announced, based on the pricing of previous bouts of this calibre, users can expect to pay around £19.95 to watch.
If you want to stream the fight rather than watch it on your TV, you will be able to do this using the Sky Sports Box Office Live online streaming tool. This is available on most devices including PC, Mac, NOW TV box, iPhone, iPad, Android phone and Android tablet. You will still have to pay for the privilege and sign up on the Sky Sports Box Office website in order to watch.
In the USA, the fight will be available on Showtime, the premium subscription cable TV channel. Subscribers will be able to watch the fight on a variety of different platforms including the official Showtime app as well as Amazon, Hulu, Roku, and all the usual mobile devices. Other international broadcasters include DAZN in Germany, Austria, Canada, and Switzerland, beIN Sports across much of the Middle East, and Sky Arena in New Zealand.
Reminder
Whenever you are streaming live boxing, or anything else online, it is always advisable to use a VPN. Live streaming can make you vulnerable to security threats as well as put you at risk of legal action if you are found to be watching copyrighted content illegally. With broadcasters paying big prices for the rights to boxing bouts of this type, they will always go the extra mile to stop people watching illegal and prosecute those that they catch in the act. But a VPN can help to protect you and mitigate these risks. If you are using a VPN, all of your online data is encrypted making it very hard for any outsider to see what you are doing online. A VPN will also help to hide your IP Address which makes it difficult for anyone to link your online activity back to your own internet connection. The dual-level protection means you should be able to stream the Joshua v Parker fight in any way you like without the potential risk of legal implications hanging over your head.
The Best VPN for Online Streaming – IPVanish
No matter how you are streaming the Joshua v Parker bout, we would recommend IPVanish as the best VPN for you. They have some of the fastest connection speeds on the market right now which are also consistent no matter which server you connect to. This means you will be able to watch high-quality streams from anywhere in the world with a greatly reduced risk of interruptions and issues such as buffering. IPVanish’s privacy and security provisions are second to none and include a no-logs guarantee which means they keep absolutely no record of what you are getting up to online. IPVanish also has no restrictions on either the types of files you can use or the amount of data you can stream. They offer more than 850 servers in 60 different countries around the world, which means that you can choose to stream from a broadcaster anywhere in the world regardless of your actual location.
IPVanish offers a 7-day money back guarantee which means you have a week to test it risk-free. Please note that Addictive Tips readers can save a massive 60% here on the IPVanish annual plan, taking the monthly price down to only $4.87/mo.
Joshua v Parker: Watch it on Kodi
There are a number of places online where you can go to stream the Joshua v Parker fight live. Perhaps the best place to start is Kodi, where a number of excellent unofficial live sports addons will have live coverage of the fight. The majority of these unofficial addons scrape content from various internet sites. This saves you from having to trawl the internet for streams, but it does mean they can on occasion be unreliable. If the site you are streaming from goes down then so too will your stream. But most of the decent unofficial Kodi addons will offer a number of different links, so even if one does go down you should be quickly back online again with another one. The popularity of boxing means there are no shortage of addons you can turn to find live boxing streams. But for the Joshua v Parker fight, these are the best addons we would recommend you turn to first.
1. DAZN
DAZN is one of the official broadcasters of the Joshua-Parker fight and so will be offering a fully legal and above board live stream of the fight as well as plenty of additional content and coverage as well. DAZN has an official Kodi addon which will be streaming this content, but unlike all of the other addons on this list, DAZN will not offer that coverage for free. You will need a DAZN subscription to watch the fight on their Kodi addon and this is priced from $20 per month or $150 per year. They do however offer a free one-month trial which may or may not include coverage of the fight. DAZN is currently only available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada and Japan. This means that if you are based anywhere else, you will need to use a VPN with servers in one of these locations to connect. IPVanish will do the job fine and this offers an attractive option for screening the fight in high quality and without any potential legal risks of some other addons.
How to install DAZN on Kodi
- The latest version of the DAZN Kodi addon can be manually downloaded as a zip file from the project’s (https://github.com/kodinerds/repo/raw/master/repository.kodinerds/repository.kodinerds-6.0.0.zip) GitHub page. You will need to remember which folder you saved the zip file in.

2. SportsDevil
SportsDevil is one of the most established live sports Kodi addons around and it offers a comprehensive selection of live sports links. Boxing is one of the biggest global sports so it should come as no surprise to learn that there are no shortage of links to live boxing streams available on this addon. This will, of course, include the Joshua v Parker fight too. Like most live sports addons, SportsDevil works as an aggregator, bringing together links from a number of different websites. This can mean that sometimes links do not work, but for big events like this one there are always a few different links to choose from and you can be confident of finding one which works.
The quality of streams on SportsDevil can vary depends on which site you are linking to, but in general is of a pretty high standard. If you open a stream which doesn’t seem good enough, the best thing to do is to try another and it shouldn’t take long to find a good one. One thing you cannot be certain of is the commentary language that each stream will have. This depends on the site you are linking to and where they are sourcing their coverage from. But with multiple links to choose from, you should also have no problem finding a working one in the language you are looking for.
How to install SportsDevil
The best way to install the latest version of the SportsDevil addon is directly from the zip file. It is a relatively simple process. All you need to do is follow these few simple steps below:

Joshua v Parker fight Preview
It is perhaps the most anticipated boxing match of the year so far. Great Britain’s Anthony Joshua, the WBA and IBF Heavyweight Champion goes toe-to-toe with Joseph Parker, the WBO Heavyweight Champion, in a unification bout that the whole boxing world has been looking forward to. The fight will take place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, where Joshua beat Carlos Takam by a TKO to retain his titles back in October. But Parker is no stranger to fighting British boxers on home soil having retained his own title by defeating Hughie Fury at the Manchester Arena in September of last year. It is the first time in Boxing history that two reigning heavyweight champions have fought each other in the UK.
It promises to be a close encounter between arguably the two best pound-for-pound fighters in the world right now. Both are undefeated in their professional careers, with Joshua winning all 20 of his bouts to date by knockout. Meanwhile, Parker has gone 24 fights unbeaten, with 18 of those coming by knock-out. Joshua is slightly taller than Parker, at 6’6” to Parker’s 6’4” and arguably has a longer reach. But Parker has a reputation for having a granite chin while the pre-fight banter has focused quite a bit on what Parker describes as Joshua’s “glass chin”.
What have they been saying?
With the fight still a couple of weeks away, the trash talking has been ratcheted up a notch of late with both fighters goading the other and expressing confidence in themselves ahead of the big day. Joshua appears to be the favourite, but Parker is in no doubt about his ability to knock his British rival out.
“Anthony Joshua is in for a huge shock,” Parker said when the fight was announced back in January. “A couple of months ago I heard him say: ‘Why should I be worried about this little kid from New Zealand? Well, now he’s about to find out. And the world is about to find out whether AJ can really take a punch.”
This is a line Parker has been pursuing before the fight announcement after pushing for an agreement by screening clips of Joshua being knocked down in his amateur days and offering a reward for anyone who had new footage available. This has continued with Parker questioning Joshua’s ‘glass chin’.
“All we have said is that Joshua has a glass chin,” said Parker. “We know it, he knows it, everybody knows it, they just don’t talk about it. We saw him get dropped by Wladimir Klitschko but he still had the heart to get up and finish the fight – I’ll give him that – but if I catch him and hurt him I’m not going to give him the chance to recover. I won’t be letting him off the hook. If I get him in the trouble Klitschko had him in, there is no chance for him. I’ll go in fast, I’ll go in hard, and I’ll go in for the kill. He won’t be able to recover against me.”
Joshua meanwhile has defended himself and questioned Parker’s control in the ring. “He hasn’t been taught ring generalship and how to cut off the ring because he was following [Hughie Fury] around. You need to be able to corner your opponent” before adding that “he’s not a devastating puncher”.
And when questioned about Parker’s supposed granite chin, Joshua had a simple response. “I’m going to smash him up to the body. What slowed [Carlos] Takam down is when I started punching him to the stomach. Jab to the stomach, right hand to the stomach. If someone has got a strong head, you hit them to the body. It’s quite simple so if Parker’s got a granite chin, I’ll weaken his body down.”
The stakes are high and while the pre-bout banter hasn’t yet escalated to the outright animosity often seen in the world of boxing, there is still clearly a few issues between these two fighters, which sets things up nicely for what promises to be a compelling fight.
What are the odds?
Generally speaking, the Bookies seem to be favouring Joshua ahead of the fight. Parker is at around 6/1 with most of the online betting sites, while Joshua’s odds have come as short as 1/12. However, several bookies report an increase in bets being taken on a Parker victory as the fight draws closer, so these odds seem destined to get closer before they step into the ring. Joshua is still likely to begin as favourite, but it is likely to be a much closer fight than the odds might currently suggest, and certain one not to be missed.
