We have gathered the most intriguing Easter eggs for you in this Captain America: Brave New World trailer breakdown. From character transformations to surprising callbacks, each hidden detail offers a glimpse into the storyline.
Let’s dive into these clues and see what they reveal about the upcoming adventure.
1. The New Captain America suit
In The Falcon and The Winter Soldier TV mini-series, we saw Sam Wilson’s new outfit as Captain America. The suit in the show was based on a comic book series that was mostly white and blue. Though it was a faithful adaptation, many fans preferred previous suits. The good news is that we can see a new look for Captain America that is darker and seems more sturdy.
2. Thunderbolt Ross with No mustache
As you may already know, Harrison Ford is the new face of Thunderbolt Ross in this movie, and he has become the President.
In the trailer, he talks with Sam Wilson about the fact that his mustache is gone. This is a reference to the mustached actor William Hurt, who played Thunderbolt in the previous movies and sadly died in 2022.
3. Isiah Bradly Attacks Thunderbolt
Isiah Bradly had a key role in Falcon and Winter Soldier, and we found out during the show that he was the first Captain America. Now, he briefly appears in the trailer and it seems like he has lost control and attacks people around him, including Thunderbolt Ross.
4. Explosion in the White House
The trailer shows Captain America throwing his shield, and then it cuts to the destruction of the White House.
If you watch the trailer more than once, it’s a simple editing trick two the two scenes are happening in totally different environments. An explosion is visible during the destruction of the building, but we don’t know its source.
5. The World Map
In a quick scene in the trailer, Thunderbolt Ross is demonstrating a big map of the world to a large audience. On the map, there are two yellow circles that highlight the US and France.
These two countries could be the main targets of the villain and his group. Moreover, there are white dots all around the map, which seem to be the big cities around the world.
6. The Villain or The Leader
It’s confirmed that Tim Blake Nelson’s character Samuel Sterns is the main villain of the movie, which is also called The Leader, and we’ll see his transformation.
We saw his character transform in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. In the trailer, we only see this character from the back, trying to hide his big green head with a hat.
7. Giancarlo Esposito’s Mysterious Character
The trailer tried to focus on Giancarlo Esposito’s character as the big bad guy with a rifle in his hand and explosions happening in the background.
His role isn’t officially confirmed yet but there is a rumor that he plays the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent comic-book character, George Washington Bridge.
8. Tiamut is Finally Addressed
In a brief shot of the trailer, we can see some missiles and, in the background, a huge structure in the ocean. This reminds us of the Tiamut, the Celestial from the 2021 movie Eternals. Fans have been waiting for years to see what happened to Tiamut, and it seems that the time finally has come.
9. Captain America and Falcon Team Up
Captain America is not alone in the fight against The Leader. Joaquin Torres and the new Falcon will be alongside Sam Wilson. In a brief scene, we can see them both flying over the ocean. It seems that the environment is the same as the one with Tiamut.
10. Transformation to Red Hulk
The big moment of the trailer is the Red Hulk. It’s confirmed that Red Hulk is Harison Ford’s character transformed. However, we don’t know how this happens, but it sure sounds like The Leader is behind it.
The location of the fight between Cap America and Red Hulk is interesting. The intriguing clue about this scene is the cherry trees that are visible multiple times in the trailer, including a scene with many wrecked cars and during a funeral scene.
We hope this Captain America Brave New World trailer breakdown made you more excited for the release date on February 14, 2025.
