How to Bookmark a Tweet on X (Formerly known as Twitter)

In its early years, X, which was formerly known as Twitter, was a good way to follow news. It was like a more interactive news feed that you could subscribe to, but now you can find invaluable resources and information there. Twitter now has a ‘save’ feature much like Facebook’s save feature that you can use to bookmark a tweet you might want to revisit.

The process is similar whether you are using Twitter on a desktop or mobile device.

Steps to Bookmark A Tweet

  1. Open Twitter: Start by launching Twitter on your preferred device. This can be done either through a web browser or by using the Twitter app on a mobile device.
  2. Navigate to the Desired Tweet: Find the tweet you want to bookmark. This could be a tweet from someone you follow, a tweet that appeared in your feed, or even one of your own tweets.
  3. Access the Bookmark Option:
    • On a Desktop: Click on the tweet to view it in detail. Look for the bookmark icon in the bar below the tweet, typically located next to the ‘Like’ button.Screenshot of Twitter Bookmark with Arrow to Bookmark Button
    • On Mobile: Tap on the share icon (usually found in the bottom right corner of the tweet). From the share menu that appears, select the “Bookmark” option.
  4. Confirm Bookmark: After selecting the “Bookmark” option, the tweet will be saved to your Twitter bookmarks.

Viewing Bookmarked Tweets

To view your bookmarked tweets, the process is slightly different depending on the device you are using:

  • On Mobile Devices: Swipe right on the profile icon to open the bookmarks menu. Here, you will find all your bookmarked tweets.
  • On a Desktop: Click on the “Bookmarks” option in the left sidebar menu of your Twitter homepage to access your saved tweets.

Whether using Twitter on a desktop or mobile device, the process is intuitive and easily accessible. Remember, bookmarked tweets are private and can only be viewed by you.
