Use the guide in this article to deactivate your account either via mobile device or desktop. After 30 days, your account will automatically be deleted.

How do I delete a twitter account without a password?

Yes and no. If you don’t have your password, you can request a password reset to be texted or emailed to you by Twitter, so long as those are the contacts that are associated with the actual account. If you don’t have access to these, such as if you can no longer access your email account or want to delete a Twitter account on behalf of someone who passed away, Twitter will not give you the reset per their policy. This is to keep user information out of the wrong hands. For deceased family members, however, they do have policies to help you delete their account through official requests and documentation.

Fortunately, Twitter (X) has an inactive account policy. If you’re able to log out of your or the other person’s account and stay logged out for 30 days, the account will begin to be processed for permanent deletion whether you want it to be or not.

Search engines in general may have saved some of your account activity, which is uncontrollable by Twitter.

Advanced Twitter searches may yield some results, and the deleted account can still be mentioned in other’s tweets, even if the actual profile no longer exists. Overall, however, there is no guarantee that you’ll see much when you look for your deleted account.
