Turnips are a unique item in Animal Crossing for crafting materials and cooking ingredients. By eating them, you will gather energy to be able to relocate trees or break rocks that interrupt a spot where you plan to construct a path.

Aside from that, buying and selling turnips is also a great way to earn more bells in the stock market of New Horizons.

How to negotiate with Daisy Mae

Daisy is the only player who sells turnips on Sunday, so she has the monopoly. To make profits off the market, you should negotiate a fair price with Daisy to make profits off the market. Here is how:

  1. Find Daisy Mae: Locating Daisy Mae as she typically wanders around your Island on Sundays between 4:00 Am and 12:00 PM. Once you see the player with a basket of turnips on their head, that’s Daisy.
  2. Start negotiation: Once you approach Daisy, she’ll offer you her turnips for a price. Daisy’s price is always random, between 90 and 100 bells weekly. If she sells at the maximum, you know most players also buy at the same price. The smart thing is to buy the maximum quantity to have the upper hand in the market.
  3. Purchase turnips: If you’re okay with Daisy’s price, select “I’ll buy some” and enter how many turnips you’d like to purchase. Click “Buy the Max” to buy as many turnips as you can, or enter a specific figure.
  4. Confirm purchase: After you select the specific number of turnips to purchase, Daisy will ask you to confirm the sale. Then you’d select “Yeah, I’ll buy ’em” and the Turnips will go to your inventory.

How to store turnips if your inventory is full

Unfortunately, you cannot store turnips in your house storage. And if you bought turnips to resell on the stalk market, they’d take a lot of space in your inventory, preventing you from storing other important items.

To prevent that, go home and drop the turnips on the floor. Certainly, your floor area is large enough to take any number of turnips. That way, your inventory is not overlooked, turnips stay fresh, and you can retrieve them anytime you’re ready to sell.

How to sell turnips fast to Nook’s Cranny

The way Animal Crossing is set, players have to wait till Monday to sell turnips on the market. That is a long wait since Animal Crossing uses real-life time. If you want to sell turnips quickly, set the timer on your Nintendo Switch system to a different date to avoid the waiting period.

While Animal Crossing does not support time traveling like this, it is certainly a faster way to sell turnips if you feel the need.
