In case there’s a live international cricket match going on anywhere in the world, the app keeps you apprised of the latest scores at user-defined time intervals.
Unlike other cricket apps, Yahoo! Cricket employs a unique way to present you with the scorecard of every match. Apart from displaying brief match summary, the app lets you check detailed scorecards of every innings, complete with ball-by-ball commentary of various events, such as wickets and boundaries (4s and 6s), all in landscape mode. You can switch between the scorecard and commentary view of each individual innings of the chosen match with a mere tap.
The News tab on the app’s main interface, as implied by its name, can be hit to keep a close eye on the latest cricket news. Tapping the Photos tab lets you view various photo albums relevant to the latest cricketing events, whereas tapping an album lets you view all the underlying photos in full-screen, with relevant captions. To switch between photos, just swipe the screen towards the left or right, and to hide the captions, tap anywhere in the middle of the screen.
