Batch-Convert Subtitles Between A Number Of Different Formats
The subtitles aren’t for the deaf or hard-of-hearing only, they also help you enjoy your favorite foreign movies in your native language. Perhaps this is why subtitles are a fundamental part of every movie production and its home media (Blu-ray/DVD) releases. Video containers such as MKV and MKS have the ability to let you sync custom sub files, in case the subtitles themselves aren’t hardcoded. However, subtitle files also come in various formats, for instance, SRT, ASS, STL etc. What if the required subtitle file that you have downloaded doesn’t support the video file, or is entirely out of sync? Or maybe, the sub file is not encoded properly? The aforementioned issues can be resolved using Batch Subtitles Converter. Just as its name implies, the application is designed to let you convert multiple subtitle files in one go. According to the author, the input files can be converted into nearly 100 different formats, such as Avid Caption, Caroke XML, Captionate, Structured titles, DVD Studio Pro, Realtime, Scenerist, CSV, XML, JSON and so on. Along with format conversion, it can also encode the sub file as well as change its FPS (frame per second).
This utility is also quite useful in creating your own subtitle file and then converting it to the proper format. The interface of the application looks quite simple. To convert the subtitles files, simply drag them over the application window (or use the classic Browse method to specify the subtitles file that you wish to convert). As mentioned earlier, it supports several output formats that can be selected from the Format drop down menu. Next up, you need to decide the encoding method of the selected items. Again, there are several encoding methods to choose from, like iso-8859-9, IBM037, IBM500, IBM852, DOS-862, x-mac-ce, big5 etc. Finally, you can also select subtitle FPS. Properly synced frame is a crucial factor of any conversion, for example, if your video is in 24fps then choose 24fps for sub file as well, to avoid subtitle lag or poor synchronization.
After specifying the preferred conversion parameters, click Convert to begin the process. Generally, the utility is quite fast and only takes a few seconds to complete the conversion task.
Batch Subtitles Converter is a portable application that works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Testing was carried out on Windows 7, 64-bit edition.

I liked it. that the developer has taken into staff the function of FPS. One worried that after selecting a folder as the source program changes it to your liking. For example, I created a new folder, and I want to convert SRT on the movie in a different format, I specify the source, that is, the file itself, sets its own folder, and the result is a file in the same folder with the source code. Funny 🙂 , but comfortable.
Nice and easy 🙂 Thank You!
